 Greek Independence Day Run 10K Run, 5K Run/Walk (16th)  
    Come join us at spectacular and scenic Lake Merritt for a fun morning including food, drink and raffle prizes. The course is a flat path of half dirt and half cement/asphalt that hugs the shore of the pristine lake. The course is a true 5K and a true 10K. Dogs are prohibited inside the park. Bicycles, skateboards and rollerblades or skates are also prohibited.

There are M/F medals 3 deep in 10 age divisions for 5K/10K Run & 5K Walk. Crowning Wreaths to overall 1st place male & female in each event. Special fees for Juniors and Children. Timing by Sky High.

$25 General($30 Race Day); $15 Juniors 12-19; $5 Children 11 and under.

100% of the net proceeds go to the Ascension Historical Society, a non-profit organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our Federal ID number is 94-1439964. Your registration fee is tax deductible.

 5K Run  
  A beautiful true 5K run around the shores of scenic Lake Merritt. It is basically a flat course on foot paths and sidewalks, which is half dirt and half asphalt/concrete. There is one gentle slope in the last .5 mile.

The lake is wonderful in the early morning. Come join us for a fun event.

Register by March 10 to guarantee a t-shirt.

Race day fee is $30 for ages 20 and up.

Fees are 100% deductible and proceeds benefit Ascension Historical Society, a non-profit organization.

Race packets will be ready for pickup at 7:00 a.m. race day.

 10K Run

There is one gentle slope in the last .5 mile of the 5K which means you will see it twice as your course is two laps around the lake.

10K run begins at 8:40 which is 10 minutes after 5K. The lake is wonderful in the early morning. Come join us for a fun event.
