600 yard swim is out and back in Lake Alvin, 16 mile bike is out and back (south) on rolling hills black top road, 3.2 mile run is out and back (north) on mostly flat with one gradual hill on black top road.
TEAMS-can be 2 or 3 person. All teams compete against each other regardless of compostition. The timing chip must be transferred from one person to another during transistions.
Transistion area is located in the lower parking lot. Vehicle parking is in the upper parking lot.
NEW THIS YEAR-We will have automated chip timing, so early registration would be greatly appreciated (notice price breaks) Race day registration must be before 7:30 in order to get the info into the computer.Race day registrations will not be guaranteed a t-shirt or official finish time. They will be sent later.
PACKET PICKUP-Will be on Friday at SCHEELS ALL SPORT STORE at 41st and Western in Sioux Falls from 4:30 until 8:30 or at the race site between 6:30 and 7:30 on race day.
DIRECTIONS TO LAKE ALVIN-4 miles east of Harrisburg on Lincoln county road 110 or 7 miles south of Sioux Falls on highway 11 until you see the sign for Lake Alvin 2 miles east.
PARKING-A SOUTH DAKOTA STATE PARK pass will get you into the parking lot free or a $4 per person or $6 per car daily entrance fee is necessary to park in the parking lot.
OTHER ITEMS-helmets must be worn on the bike, no drafting allowed, wet suits are permitted for the swim. Participant numbers must be visible on the front of the helmet, front portion of bike cross bar, front of participant during the run, and body markings on both arms & legs.
